Evelyn is an engineer working in the construction industry and they are passionate about creating and fostering a diverse, inclusive and equitable environment for all. They dedicate their time outside of their engineering role contributing to a system and future where Autistic people are valued for their lived experiences.
As a queer, non-binary, multiply neurodivergent person with a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background, Evelyn understands the importance of intersectionality. This can be seen in their recent advocacy work representing ASAN AUNZ as a member of the LGBTIQASB+ Summit Advisory Group as part of NDIA’s development of the 2024 LGBTIQASB+ Strategy, as well as advising on the National Autism Strategy through CALD Focus Groups, championing the lived experiences of Autistic people in multicultural communities.
